Project QT REVIEW

You came for the anime waifus, but you stayed for the addictive gameplay - or so the story goes. Developed by xDNA, this wildly popular match-3 puzzle RPG on Nutaku combines lewd art with gacha mechanics, delivering a mix of brain-teasing gameplay (for those with single digit IQs?) and wallet-draining temptation.

But does it live up to the hype, or is it another soulless cash grab?

Umm, depends on your perspective. And your expectations.

The game kicks off with a ridiculous plot (a black hole experiment unleashes horny alien babes), which serves as little more than a pretext for the action. The gameplay itself revolves around match-3 puzzles tied to strategic RPG combat. Solve puzzles, power up your team of excessively horny hentai chicks, and battle through waves of increasingly challenging enemies. It’s simple but fun - at least for the first few hours.

Where Project QT shines is in its artwork. The characters are beautifully designed, with everything from detailed lewd illustrations to surprisingly adorable chibi avatars. It’s clear the developers know their audience. However, the game’s charm starts to wear thin as the grind sets in. Progression slows to a crawl unless you’re willing to fork over cash for gems, energy, or whatever the latest exclusive character to have is.

The gacha mechanics are as ruthless as ever, with limited-time events and premium summons constantly tempting you to spend. It’s one of those games where free-to-play is technically possible, but... is it worth it?

Project QT is a well-crafted time sink that offers flashy visuals and engaging puzzles, but it comes with the usual gacha caveats. Approach with caution - or a credit card.

Game Summary

Project QT is a puzzle-based RPG developed by xDNA, blending engaging match-3 gameplay with gacha mechanics and anime-style artwork.

Set in a sci-fi universe, the game invites you to lead a team of powerful heroines to defend Earth from an invasion of seductive alien creatures.

No prizes for guessing what you'll be doing with your heroines if you succeed.

The Premise

Where to start?

The story begins with a scientific experiment gone wrong. A black hole opens, connecting Earth to an alternate dimension teeming with alien lifeforms. These visitors, however, aren’t your typical extraterrestrials. As the leader of a resistance team, it’s your job to recruit the alien beauties, build your squad, and save the world from destruction.

Gameplay Mechanics

Project QT is built around match-3 puzzles integrated with RPG combat mechanics. Engage in battles by solving puzzles on a grid.

Matching tiles generates energy, which powers up your heroines’ special abilities. Strategy plays a role in team composition, as each heroine comes with unique stats, elemental attributes, and skills that influence the outcome.

The game also features an auto-battle option (if you want the more laid-back experience).

Gacha System and Hero Collection

Recruiting new characters is central to Project QT

The gacha system lets you summon heroines of varying rarities, from common recruits to legendary warriors. The best characters can require an obscene dedication to the grind.

Each character has unique abilities and various customizable upgrades. The game’s progression is tied closely to collecting and enhancing these characters, which is obviously heavily incentivised with paid upgrades throughout.

Progression and Monetization

Project QT is free-to-play, but like many gacha games, that doesn't tell the full story.

You can purchase gems, energy, and exclusive characters to accelerate your progress. And you're encouraged to do so with increased frequency after the fun first few hours.

Art and Design

Gotta admit, the visual design is pretty cool.

Project combines high-quality anime-style character art with lively animations and a vibrant color palette. The heroines are beautifully drawn. Even the chibi-style avatars used in certain game modes work well.

jackhammer

Not bad but it's testing my patience. I’ve maxed out some of my characters, but now what? Wait... or? What’s the deal with Awakening? I can't get it to work properly

Dynamo Gamesjackhammer

Once your characters hit max level, you need whatever Awakening Stones the Girl uses. Only Y3 Girls and they have to be at 5* already.

As for the patience... welcome to Gachaland, mon ami. ?
