Some of the most meta-defining units are low-rarity characters that everyone has access to. No need to whale for that one broken SSR waifu - with a little strategy and elbow grease, you can clear most content with the girls the game just hands you.
That's not to say there's no reason to pull. Higher-rarity characters offer more unique playstyles and flashier skills, and let's be real - we all want our favorite anime archetypes on our team. But the gacha rates are surprisingly fair, and the game showers you with enough free currency to scratch that itch without reaching for your credit card.
Special kudos to the translation team. The English translation is top-notch, with nary a "Sorry, my English is not very good" in sight.
